Vol. 2 No. 37
Singing sand dunes, volcanic cinder cones, Joshua tree forests, and carpets of wildflowers are all found at this 1.6 million acre park. A visit to its canyons, mountains and mesas will reveal long-abandoned mines, homesteads, and rock-walled military outposts. Located between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Mojave provides serenity and solitude from major metropolitan areas.

Vol. 2 No. 36
We soared from the top of Red Mountain in Bootleg Canyon Park just outside of Boulder City, Nevada. It was a exhilarating aerial experience that took us across more than a mile and a half at speeds up to 50 mph. The views were breathtaking as we soared high above the mountain terrain with Boulder City, Lake Mead and the Eldorado Valley off in the distance.

Vol. 2 No. 35
It's been several weeks since my last post. I chalk it up to life spinning out-of-control. Not an uncommon occurrence unfortunately. I hope to be posting several times over the next few days as I am travelling through the Southwest of the United States.
I wanted to share an image to prove that there are many things to do in Las Vegas besides hitting the slots. We took a short excursion to the Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park, a 15-minute trip northwest of the Las Vegas Strip. This is a very small 3-acre zoo that took about an hour to leisurely explore, but offered several photographic opportnities.
